Hotel San Giorgio’s staff is at your disposal should you require any information or advice in order to better organize your stay in Matera.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the price. All the Suites are equipped with cooking facilities and our guests can comfortably enjoy their own breakfast with: coffee, tea, herbal tea, milk, juices, jam, fresh fruit and local handmade bread and biscuits, all of which are provided in the room. You can also request a selection of local cheese, ham, eggs or any other products suited to specific food intolerances.

City tax

City tax is not included in the price (€ 2,00 per person older than 14 y.o., for the first 3 nights).

Our cancellation policy

The reservation is guaranteed by credit card. No deposit will be charged. In case of cancellation or changes made up to 7 days before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. In case of cancellation or changes made after this deadline or no-show the full amount will be charged. The hotel will charge the expected amount as the balance of the reservation as soon as the period of free cancellation is over.

Parking solutions

The Reception is located in the heart of the Sasso Barisano; all sites of interest can be reached by foot from the hotel. Since we are inside the ZTL (limited traffic area Sassi), entering the Sassi by car won’t be possible. Motorcycles, on the other hand, can pass freely

Here are the possible parking solutions for cars:

– blue striped car parks (maximum hourly rate € 1.00) located throughout the historic center area near the Sassi;

– free parking spaces (limited number) located in the area immediately adjacent to the access to the Sassi Limited Traffic Zone;

– secure parking:

    •  “Via Saragat” parking (800 629 057): the rate is € 7,00 / day – you can reach the Sassi area with the urban bus “Linea Sassi” (till 8:00 pm frequency about 15-30 minutes), a simple ticket costs € 1.00 if purchased from authorized dealers or € 1.50 if purchased on the bus; stop 5 is only a few meters away from the reception.
    • Nicoletti car park, Via Cappelluti, N.1 (0835/330896): € 25.00 / day parking only – € 10.00 each way for the shuttle service from the car park to the Reception and from the Reception to the car park, booking on https://welcomematera.it/index.php/parking.
    • Autoservizi Damasco, Recinto XX Settembre (0835/334605 – 389/1924077). Reservations can be made via WhatsApp at +393891924077, by sending an email to [email protected] or by filling out the online booking form at the following link: https://autoservizidamasco.it/parking/. The rate is € 20.00 per day for small cars, € 25.00 per day for medium/large cars and € 30.00 per day for vans and luxury cars. The car park, located near Piazza Vittorio Veneto, is 600 metres from our Reception and can be reached on foot, but we also offer a shuttle service (€ 15.00 each way from 1 to 3 people, supplement € 5.00 per person over 3 people).
    • TA&CO car park  (please send a classic or whatsapp message, writing the arrival time, your surname and hotel, to the following number +39 3513340648): once you reach the car park (GPS coordinates 40.707405, 16.583532) a shuttle will take you to the hotel (no later than 7:00 pm), and back on the day of departure. The rate is € 25.00(vans €35.00) per day if leaving before 04:00 p.m., after which a € 2.50 / hour fare will be applied. There is a € 5.00 rate for extra shuttle requests to/from the parking. “Google Map

Parking rates may vary until the date of check-in. You’ll receive another mail from us closest to your arrival.

Pets Allowed – Dogs

Dogs are allowed upon express request. An additional fee may be required depending on the breed of dog. Please communicate the presence of the dog before your arrival, both at the reception and at any chosen car park. Not all rooms can accommodate dogs.

Luggage

We suggest a light  luggage, as some of the rooms are located 120 meters away from the reception (half of the distance are stairs) and can be reached by foot only. Porterage service is not included.

We would like to remind you that check-in is possible from 03.00 to 08.00 p.m.

A surcharge of EUR 15 applies for arrivals from 20:00 until 22:00 and EUR 30 from 22:00 until 00:00. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.
